“ Friendly waitstaff and food was top notch. Others were asking about the lemon paper shake and I regret not getting that since there are a number of reviews here that call that out. It's not for everyone, but it is almost exactly what I remember from when I went to UofC and hit up #14 (53rd street) all the time. Wings are popular now so they are pricey, but a dark half is under 10$! I got cat/dark which is a dark quarter (1 leg 1 thigh) and 3 pieces of catfish. Careful of the bones, but this was super yummy. Not the best, but delicious. Could have used help with a side selection as they didn't provide tartar sauce. Right near McCormick, so hit it up if at a conference or if down there for any other reasons. ”
“ I was in Chicago for the SHRM conference and we had just come back from a boat tour. We heard from some other conference attendees about this place, so decided to try it. It's a small inside area with no room or tables to dine in. They had chicken dinner specials, fried okra and all. We ordered in and didn't have to wait too long and everything was fresh and hot. The chicken was delicious and the fries with the sauce was so good. And the Poundcake was amazing... ”
“ This location is small with no indoor seating but provided what we needed for a dinner night pickup. The food was cooked to order. Slightly crispy. Can take a bit more time than expected depending on how busy they are. We could use more mild sauce on the wings. They use a light amount of mild sauce so I order a cup of mild sauce which was priced at $3 . Not worth it. Other locations sell the Harold's mild sauce bottle for approx $5. The place appeared clean. There is limited parking in front of the restaurant. The staff have always been rather friendly. If you need quick service, I wouldn't stop here however the food is average for a Harold's. ”
“ It was pretty busy when I arrived, and a little too hot to stand inside, so I waited a moment outside before ordering. As it began to clear out, I got in, ordered my food as suggested by someone at the Chicago Sky game, and was out in about 10 minutes. Which I had not been expecting because everyone kept talking about how long the wait is and such. Eating it, I think I would have preferred to have the sauce on the side. I wasn't a huge fan of the mild sauce, but that's how I was told to order it to fully get the experience of a Chicago staple. It wasn't bad or anything; I just enjoyed the pieces that didn't have the sauce a little more. lol Overall, I'd say it was a pleasant experience and I'd return to try out a little more on the menu. ”
“ Bring from out of town my friends and I heard that we had to try Harold's Chicken. There are several locations throughout the city. This location was closest to our hotel. There is no parking lot but there was parking on the street. When walking in we're warmly greeted by the cashier. She kindly explained the menu to us due to us not being from the city. We placed our order and found a table to sit at. The restaurant had a full bar but there was a mildew smell. The chicken wings were okay not the best but nicely fried. Their signature mild sauce was very good. I would like to try other locations one day. But this a nice one closer to the downtown area. ”
“ Fresh, crispy, seasoned to perfection what more can you ask for. I visited this location over the summer after leaving the Black Women Expo at the McCormick Place and have been hooked since! The customer service is great and the wait is reasonable. I only time I can receive chicken on this level is traveling to the south side to 87th & The Dan Ryan, I highly recommend this place. I usually order in person to go but the last 2 times we ordered through UberEats and chicken was still warm, fresh, tasty and secured perfectly for delivery. ”
